Science and ICT Minister Discusses Progress of Community e-Centers in Rural Areas in a Video Conference Held at MoSICT , Bangladesh

The atmosphere at the Ministry of Science and ICT was charged with anticipation as Architect Yeafesh Osman, State Minister for Science and ICT, engaged in a video conference with the operators of the Community e-centers which have been established in Bagerhat, Sunamganj, Rangpur, Kishoreganj and Bramanbaria. National Level Training Workshop for Community e-Centers Managers

A five days long Training Workshop for Community e-Centers Managers from 5 districts in Bangladesh was launched on 19 July 2009 at Bangladesh Computer Council by the State Minister for Science and ICT Architect Yeafesh Osman. Through the training the CeC Managers will gain in-depth knowledge and learn skills in management and operation of community e centers. About the Project' empowering the Rural Areas through Community e Center '

The project’ empowering the Rural Areas through Community e Center’ intends to utilize Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) via CeCs for socio-economic development of the rural communities in Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, and Nepal under the South Asia Sub regional Economic Cooperation (SASEC) program.
